In 2017,   85% of photos  taken were captured with a smartphone.

Because you probably don't have a camera with you all of the time, you want the best camera to help you capture your favorite memories.

The Samsung Galaxy camera is usually far superior compared to other smartphones. Check out these five cool camera features from the latest S10.

1. Vertical and Horizontal Panoramas

There are more than just one camera on this new phone. How many cameras you get will depend on what model of the S10 you buy, but each model comes with at least two cameras in the back and one in the front.

Some models can have up to four cameras in the back, so before you buy a phone, you should decide how important a good camera is to you and what kind of pictures and videos you want to be able to take.

These cameras all perform different functions. One of the cameras that is on this phone gives you the ability to take vertical and horizontal panoramas.

This camera offers you a 123-degree field of view. This wide angle lens is designed to give you a wider range of view without having to take a step back. That way you can get more things into your shot so that you don't miss a memory or a moment.

This camera also enables the users to take awesome panorama shots, both vertically and horizontally.

2. Scene Optimizer

If you've used a professional camera, you are probably familiar with the different settings that you can set your camera to, like sunset, night photography, or sports.

Now Scene Optimizer is a feature that is similar to that.

Scene Optimizer is basically artificial intelligence that sees what you are taking a picture of and tries to adjust the settings accordingly.

For example, if you are taking a picture of a dog, the phone will recognize that and adjust the exposure, white balance, and the ISO to make sure that you get the best picture.

Some of the new scenes that were added to this phone include:

  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Shoes
  • Babies

Some of the other categories that are carried over include food, landscapes, and portraits.

Some of you may know that this was actually featured on the   Galaxy S9, but the S10 offers 20 more possible options, so now you will have a total of 30 different scenes that your phone could help you with.

Some of the other features that improved from the S9 is that now you can turn this mode on or off while you're in the app in the viewfinder. This way you don't have to switch back and forth between the camera and the settings and possibly lose a shot.

3. Edit Photos

Taking photos is one thing, but editing them is another. Sometimes we spend hours editing a photo, but we can cut down this editing time if we take a good photo.

The new S10 helps you take good photos the first time so you don't have to spend as much time editing them. There are even modes where you can edit them while you are taking the picture.

With the new S10 camera, there is a mode that you can enable that will help you line up the photo. One of the most annoying things is taking a photo and then realizing it's crooked or unbalanced. This mode will make sure that you get the shot right the first time.

If you find that this is an issue for you, you may want to look into this phone.

Another feature that is on the Galaxy S10 Plus is that the phone will help you get the perfect selfie. Because the new camera can be kind of difficult to see with the new screen and design, the edges of the camera will light up so that you know where to look. This will help you save time when taking selfies and not having to go through hundreds before you find the right one.

There is also a mode on this phone called Artistic Live Focus. With this mode, you can edit shapes that appear in the background and add light if you need to so that you don't have to do it later in the editing process.

4. Blur Effects

One of the most   popular effects is Bokeh, which is where the background is blurred and the depth perception is altered. This is commonly used by DSLR cameras, but now they are digitally created on your phone.

These shots are normally seen with portraits, and this simple effect can make it look like your portraits were taken by a professional photographer.

In addition to this Live Focus feature, Samsung also gave users the opportunity to change the color of the background and pick different effects to enhance this blurred portrait.

5. High-Quality Video

For videographers or people who capture a lot of videos, don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you.

The S10 also provides high-quality videos, including the options to capture them in HDR10+ and 4K.

Digital Video Stabilization is also offered with this phone as well to help make your action shots appear smooth. This is a type of feature that is offered on the GoPro, but now you can have it on your phone.

Protect Your Samsung Galaxy Camera

The Samsung Galaxy camera is one of the better quality cameras out there right now.

If you have an older model or older phone that takes blurry and fuzzy photos, you will probably want to upgrade to this phone. There are so many new features that are offered with this camera, and you don't want to miss out on it.

S10s can be expensive, so once you buy one, you want to make sure that you have a good case so that it doesn't break.
